Equipment rental

Your people answer the phone. We catch the calls they can't.

Independent rental is built on a real person who picks up and does what they said. We set up the phone, reviews and follow-up side for independent rental businesses, so the call at 7:40, the Saturday afternoon call and the web quote at 9pm still reach one of your people. It sits beside your rental software; it doesn't replace it.

Tool rental and rent-all stores

Where does a call go when you're closed?

Your counter knows the rentals it turned away. The ones nobody hears about are the calls after close, on a Sunday, or while someone's showing a homeowner how to start a machine. Weekend warriors rent once or twice a year, pick a store from the map and the reviews, and call the next one if nobody picks up.

What commonly happens

  • Saturday afternoon or after close, a caller with a project for tomorrow gets voicemail and tries the next store.
  • The call that comes in while the counter's showing someone how to start a machine never makes it onto anyone's list of nos.
  • First-time renters pick from the map, and the store with more and newer reviews tends to get the call.
  • Messages come in by text, Facebook and Google, and some wait until Monday.
  • The landscapers and small contractors who rent most often hear from the store only when they call it.

What changes

A call nobody could take never makes it onto the list of nos.The caller gets a text within seconds. They can reply "tiller for Saturday?" and your counter answers when there's a gap. Your people still do the answering.
After close and on Sundays, calls go to voicemail.A message is taken and one of your people calls back when you open. If you'd like, an AI assistant takes that message: it says it's an AI, gives your hours, and never quotes or promises a machine is free.
Reviews come in only when a renter remembers.Every return gets a review request by text, and every review gets a reply.
Hours, categories and photos on the Google listing go out of date.We keep your Google Business Profile complete, including weekend and holiday hours.
Messages are spread across texts, Facebook and Google. One inbox and a phone app for all of them, and each message gets an instant reply saying who'll get back to them.
Regulars hear from you only when they call.Seasonal reminders go to past renters who've agreed to hear from you: aerators and tillers in spring, heaters in the fall.

Not every store needs every row. On the 15-minute call we'll say which ones you'd need.

Example, not a promise: say a typical rental at a tool store is about $150 (our estimate). If 8 calls a month that nobody could take would have become rentals, that's about $1,200 a month. On the call we redo it with your numbers.

How it works

  1. We check your storeWe call on a Saturday afternoon and after close, in our own name, look at your listing and reviews next to the nearest stores, and send you a free 2-minute video of what happened.
  2. We agree the goalOn a 15-minute call we agree what the first 30 days should achieve, such as missed calls recovered and new reviews. If we don't reach it, we refund your first month's fee.
  3. We set it up and run itOn your store number, with one phone app for the counter to answer texts from. You approve each part before it goes live, and get a plain count every month.

Compact and heavy equipment yards

You count the nos you hear. What about the ones you don't?

A lot of yards keep track of what they had to turn down. The nos nobody hears are the call at 7:40 while two people are on the counter, and the web quote at 9 at night that never reached a person. Contractors want their guy, and independents win day and week rentals by doing what they said. This keeps those calls reaching your guys.

What commonly happens

  • The 7:40 call comes in while two people are on the counter, and the contractor calls the next yard on the list.
  • A web quote sent at 9 at night never reaches the rental software, and waits until someone notices it.
  • Everyone knows the inactive accounts should get a call. When the counter's busy and reps chase the biggest accounts, it doesn't happen consistently.
  • A regular account rents a little less each year, and new customers hide the gap.

What changes

A call nobody could take at 7:40 never makes the list of nos.The caller gets a text back within seconds, so they can say what they need, and your counter or rep calls back.
A web or after-hours quote request waits for someone to notice it.It gets an instant reply saying who'll call back, then follow-up until you get a yes or a no.
Inactive account outreach happens when someone has time.Once a month, from a customer export out of your rental software, we pick out the accounts that haven't rented in a while. Your counter or rep gets a short call list, and those accounts get a check-in by email, and by text where they've agreed to it. The calls you know you should make actually happen.
A contractor who's new to the area reads the reviews first.Every return gets a review request, every review gets a reply, and your Google profile stays complete.

Not every yard needs every row. On the 15-minute call we'll say which ones you'd need.

Example, not a promise: a week of a 2–3 ton mini excavator plus delivery runs about $1,000 (DOZR, March 2026). One inactive account back on rent for a machine-week a month is about $12,000 a year. On the call we use your numbers.

How it works

  1. We check your yardWe call during the morning rush and send a web quote after hours, both in our own name, and send you a free 2-minute video of what happened.
  2. We agree the goalOn a 15-minute call we agree what the first 30 days should achieve, such as web quotes answered or inactive accounts back on rent. If we don't reach it, we refund your first month's fee.
  3. We set it up beside your rental softwarePoint of Rental, Texada, Alert or anything else. One customer export a month, and replies come to your phones. You approve each part before it goes live, and get a plain count every month.

Your people stay the voice

Your number, your people

It stays your store's or yard's phone number, and your people still answer. We only catch what they can't, and a person calls back.

A plain count every month

One page: calls caught, quotes chased, rentals booked (the ones you mark as booked), and inactive accounts back on rent. No traffic charts, rankings or clicks.

Your say, month to month

You see every call and message, and nothing goes out in your name until you've approved what it says. No contract. We agree a 30-day goal first, and if we don't reach it, your first month's fee comes back. The one-time setup fee pays for the build and isn't refundable.

Straight answers: what this doesn't fix

It sits beside your rental software. It doesn't replace it, and it doesn't do these:

  • Live availability and rates. Nothing we set up can see your stock, so it never quotes or confirms a machine; your people do. If you use Point of Rental's phone agent or Quipli's Quinn, keep it.
  • Fleet mix, rates, delivery, damage, billing and collections. Those stay with you and your rental software.
  • A live link to your rental software. There isn't one; inactive account outreach runs from a monthly export.
  • Mechanics and drivers. We don't recruit.
  • Big national accounts and monthly project work. Those are won by reps and relationships.

Dollar figures on this page are examples, not promises. On the call we work them out with your numbers.
